You get lost easily. Not a surprise when temptation is everywhere and sometimes comes to you without any warning signs. You get lost. It’s normal. You are blinded by your ego, by what you see of others, by what they have and you don’t and you wish you did because you too want to have it all, you too want to be cool. But never lose the essence of who you are trying to be someone else so desperately. It will catch up to you. And this isn’t what happiness is made of. Happiness is made of more of you and who you are and less of excuses and hiding behind fake masks. Be happy, be proud of who you are, what you have accomplished and what you have become, always keeing an eye ahead for what is still to accomplish. If you lose that, you lose you. And your hope and joy. Never let anyone or anything take that away from you. If you feel less like you than before, take a moment to reflect and go back to how you were when you had that joy. It is still inside of you. The carefree, hopeful little kid. It is there. It is your job to nourish it well and never let it die.

Never let it die

“I want to influence people. I want to show them you can be strong, even in hard times, you can be tough even if you’re scared, you can believe even when there’s no hope and you should never, never ever give up even when everything says you are going to lose. You stand up and fight some more. Life is beautiful.” View all posts by empoweredeverydayblog

That word would be useful to my adult son. He is unhappy because he claims he has not achieved much over the past 10 years. I think it’s hard for him alone. And he lives far away from his family, in exile. I do not know how to help him. I write and say similar thoughts to yours in the post, but he still does not enjoy life. He lives as if he was punished.

Thank you so much for sharing. It isn’t easy but trying things out may help him to find what is meant for him. Don’t give up and keep encouraging him I’m sure he appreciates that you believe in him. Giving him support and guidance is the best thing you could do😉 communication is key I would say. So don’t give up! I wish you all the best and God will help you😊
