Dream Bright

Follow your heart. For it knows. It knows the path, it knows the truth. Listen to your gut. Listen to your dreams. Too often we set ourselves barriers for achieving anything. Too often the only barriers are in our head. A work of the devil to keep you away from realizing your true potential. If only you knew. If only you knew all the great things you could become. Why did you give up on your childhood dream?

  1. Whatever else you lose
Never lose the power to dream
    Whatever else you give up
Never give up the power to dream

    Never lose the power
To see tomorrow as a new day
    And with a new day-
    New things.

    Never lose the power
    To see gathering clouds
Even when the sun burns like oven
Focus your eyes on the distance
    It will soon rain

    Never lose the power
To see faces decorated with smiles
    Even when all around
    Everyone wears a long face
    See beyond that

    Never lose the power
    To see a forest
    When the ground is bare
    To see a harvest
When there has been none before
    To see the dawn
When there has only been dusk?

Never lose the power to dream
For if you do not dream
Then what is there to live for?
Dreams are the fuel of the soul!

  2. This is a really good blog post and I thank you for it. I like when you stated, “A work of the devil to keep you away from realizing your true potential. If only you knew. If only you knew all the great things you could become.”

I agree, probably the biggest barriers in our lives come from our own head. We tell ourselves that it’s impossoble, but with God all things are possible.
